Hello, it seems that the latest entries have been from 2015, though I hope this reaches a human in due time. <BR><BR>I stumbled upon your site from the madsci.org page, and dropped by the guest book simply to exclaim how intriguing this collection of webpages are. <BR><BR>The family mp3s are an interesting and old collection of music- I have not taken advantage of the collection, but still commend it on its diversity and organization.<BR><BR>Further, the Sethi websnoop is entirely accurate and quite frightening, though I'm sure most IP trackers are able to do the same.<BR><BR>I've yet to check out all of the pages but hope to see more interesting and niche things in this little corner of the internet!

ok heres the story, im 22 living it up im australia, when i was in india bout 8 yrs ago we had to go to haridwar for my mums cremation follow ups, there one of the pandit ji had a big rolled up record book. Now the excieting part, what we (me n my cousins) are told since birth is that sethi's had a bid area to themselves called camelpur and thats somewhere past pakistan. When we were in haridwar the monk told us that the oldest record of a sethi they have is way before brithish came to india, some one called heera sethi came with few people to do the follow up rituals.. i have a handmade familt tree back home in india, would love to submit a copy here when i go back, until then, help ur fellow cousin and look at my website... ha ha .<BR>cheers!<BR>

Well a very big hello once again to all the Sethi's and with a special Shout out to the ones who hailed from Mansehra/Hazara. My Father and his family came in from there just a little while before partition. Dad is about 72 and mum 67 and they have been longing to see the place where they spent their early childhood days. My Grand Dad's name was Lala Namdev sethi. Wonder if the current generation of Hazaraite's have someone in their family who knew the sethi's who were traders and had orchards. Do get in touch even if you don't and tell us how things are in that beautiful town of baffa which i have only seen through stories and glimmer in my parents eyes.

I hope we will be in contact one way or other even after class.<BR>One thing I always to all Indians particularly all Punjabis to get them into Field Hockey because like Bhangra, Folk Music, Punjabi Village life is a part of our culture. Even though I had never played Hockey back in India because I was more of city boy grew up in Ludhiana and played either football or cricket (Mohalla I hope you know) But as my son grew up and had a desire to play Hockey and I got involved in it and found out by observing we punjabis have uniqeness about this game and are very Natural players.<BR> Any way We always have a tournament on Memorial Day weekend at Moorpark College everyyear. And this year main attraction is Namdharis from India, Argentina and Holland are coming to participate. If you find some time and come and bring your family to enjoy the game and festivities. The sethi families indeed descended from the egyptian pharaos. Over time they migrated eastwards establishing themselves in a village near Peshawar. There is a Sethi street in Peshawar, a Sethi Bridge etc. Sethis in British India were christians, muslims, hindus and sikhs. They chose their religion according to convenience but at heart remained Sethis. A Sethi (my great grand father) was a governor of Balochistan (political agent was the term) in British India. Interesting site. I like the quotes and the ability to listen to music; and the site is pretty competently done. It's more of a controlled envionment than many sites, but the reasons behind the controls are good ones, and it seems competently executed, a combination I find rare. I like it.

I was fascinated. My Father Late Major Satya Pal Sethi hailed from Rawalpindi. My Grandfather, Lala Lajpatrai Sethi was the Post Master Of Rawalpindi. The family moved to India after the 1947 partition. We are not Sikhs although everyone goes to the Gurudwara. My mother was Basant Kaur Anand raised by her Sikh maternal grandfather who was converted to a Sikh as the first son in the family. She is from Nava Shaher near Aptabad in Mansera district. Would appreciate any information about my ancestory.

Finally got around to checking this out. Great work - but drop the laziness excuse and fix the pics page. Nice pics although Kabir's pic is actually Angad's. You do not have any pics of Kabir (probably my fault). I actually went thru the whole site and enjoyed it even tho some pics are bordering on porno. Also looked at you database project - quite interesting. Add more recipies and charge for accessing them.

She\'s a good friend of mine and since she joined the WWF the website got quite busy. I had been using a 3rd party guest book from Echelon Entertainment. Over time the guestbook had over 2000 entries. Last week the Echelon site crashed and they don\'t sound like they intend to put the guestbook back up. Lilian had been planning to offload all the guest book entries but this happened before she could do this. Now we\'re desparately trying to find another \'local\' guestbook with similar features to the one we were using. Yours is similar and if it can be configured properly should do the job just fine. I\'m not a heavy html \'coder\' so the php3 scripts are almost beyond me. I\'m going to wade through it the best I can but would like to ask prior to starting if background images can be utilized and other little goodies are available through this script. I manage an internet design and hosting company so I\'ll have to go through this in my spare time. Hopefully it will supply what I need. Let me know when you receive this. Excellent example of a homepage (homesite?). I was searching around Yahoo for some ideas of how to create my webpage and have come to the conclusion that yours is the best I've seen. Nice content, simple layout, not graphics intensive, great sense of humor (btw, I'm only filling this out so you don't take my credit card number and go on a spending spree) and just generally a well done website.
